Real Estate Has Always Been About More Than the House
I’m Rosalie Pribbenow Baxter, a Birmingham-area Realtor, Liberty Park resident, wife and mom of three. I’ve been selling real estate since 2013, and over the years my work has grown into much more than helping someone simply find a house.
Between real estate, building, renovations, investment properties and the projects my husband and I are involved in, I spend a lot of time looking at homes from every angle. I’m always thinking about condition, quality, layout, what could be improved, what may be worth spending money on and how those decisions can affect value down the road.
I Look at Homes a Little Differently
Whether I’m walking through a home with a buyer or helping a seller prepare for the market, I tend to look beyond what you see on the surface.
I enjoy helping buyers see the potential in a home, understand what may need attention and think through whether a renovation or improvement really makes sense.
For my sellers, that same perspective helps us decide what may be worth doing before we list — and just as importantly, where I wouldn’t recommend spending money unnecessarily. I want my clients to feel like they have someone beside them who understands both the real estate side and the house itself.
Local Knowledge Matters to Me
I live in Liberty Park and spend much of my business in Vestavia Hills and the Over the Mountain market, but I work with buyers and sellers throughout Greater Birmingham.
Living here, raising our family here, building and renovating homes here and working in these communities every day gives me a perspective that goes beyond simply searching listings online. When someone is relocating to Birmingham, I really enjoy helping them understand the differences between the areas so they can figure out where they feel most at home.
My Approach
I’m not interested in simply getting someone through a transaction.
I want to understand what matters to you, give you practical advice, be honest when I think something may not make sense and stay involved through all of the details that come with buying or selling a home.
Sometimes that means helping a buyer see possibilities they hadn’t considered. Sometimes it means telling a seller not to spend money on something they thought they needed to change. And sometimes it’s simply helping someone narrow down where to begin. That’s the part of real estate I really enjoy.
